PPO stands for Preferred Provider Organization. If you have a PPO plan, you do not need a referral to see a specialist and may have different benefit levels for out-of-network providers.

With your GNP policy, you have this plan.

An Urgent Care Center is a walk-in clinic where you can see a primary care physician without an appointment. Urgent Care Centers are convenient because they are usually open from early in the morning until late at night, and often on weekends. Urgent Care Centers may also be equipped to perform X-rays and/or CT scans. Note that specialists (cardiologist, ENT, GI, etc.) are not available through Urgent Care Centers.

Inform them you have a PPO plan and provide them with the contact information on your insurance ID card so they can contact us to verify eligibility and benefits.

Any service considered invasive such as outpatient surgeries, hospital admissions, treatment of a catastrophic diagnosis, specialty medications and injections. Please always check with your insurance as there may be additional services that require prior authorization depending on the type of policy you have.

The account is handled as an individual and you must request reimbursement from GNP.

All medical services with a hospital stay longer than 24 hours must be reported to Global Excel.

Outpatient or scheduled medical services must be reported within 3 business days in advance.

Do not make any payment and notify your broker or agent so that they can review the billing document with your insurance and provide you with clarity on the notification received.
